Update on Future Pensions Act (Wtp)

Currently, the social partners (Shell Netherlands and the Central Works Council (COR)) are still in discussion to reach a balanced decision on their approach to the Future Pensions Act. Part of this process involves submitting the decision to ‘right to be heard’ committee of VOEKS (Association of Former Employees of the “Royal/Shell”). This committee may make its views known to Shell Netherlands and the COR. Shell and the COR should then factor the committee’s views into their decision-making and also provide feedback on how those views were factored into.
More information on the ‘right to be heard’ committee of VOEKS. Questions about the committee can be submitted by sending an e-mail to VOEKS.

Once the social partners have made a final decision, they will submit a request for the new pension scheme to Shell Pension.

The board of the pension funds is considering the request of the COR/Shell Netherlands
In doing so, it balances the interests of all the different participants. This process also includes the opinion of the Accountability Body (AB). After a positive opinion from the Accountability Body (AB), the pension funds will proceed to implement the scheme.

Shell Pension expects to receive a request from the social partners by 1 June 2024
Until then, Shell Pension is preparing for all scenarios for the implementation of the Future Pensions Act so that we can proceed well prepared.
