Higher or lower pension benefit

Do you want more financial scope during the first period of your retirement? You can select to receive a temporary higher pension in the initial years, followed by a lower benefit for the rest of your life. Or the converse: you can start with a lower benefit and receive a higher benefit later on.

Higher or lower pension benefit with SSPF
At SSPF (Shell Pension Fund Foundation) you can apply for a higher pension for a few (full) years. You can also opt for a higher pension until your state retirement date. After that, you will receive a lower pension. View the consequences for your pension in my-Flex planner via my-Shell pension.

Fixed increasing or fixed decreasing variable benefit with SNPS
If you opt for the Collective Variable Pension (CVP) with SNPS (Shell Netherlands Pension Fund Foundation) , you will receive a variable pension benefit from your retirement date. At that moment you can also decide if you want your benefit to increase or decrease by a fixed percentage. If you opt for a fixed increasing benefit, you will start with a lower benefit that will increase by 1% each year. If you opt for a fixed decreasing benefit, you will start with a higher benefit that will decrease by 1% each year. In addition, your benefit will vary depending on investment results. The benefit will be determined on the 1st of July every year. The investment results of the previous year plus the fixed increasing or fixed decreasing percentage, if any, will then be incorporated in your pension benefit.
