Higher or lower pension benefit

Do you want more financial scope during the first period of your retirement? You can select to receive a temporary higher pension in the initial years, followed by a lower benefit for the rest of your life. Or the converse: you can start with a lower benefit and receive a higher benefit later on.

Higher or lower pension benefit with SSPF
At SSPF (Stichting Shell Pensioenfonds) you can apply for a higher pension benefit during a few (full) years or e.g. until your AOW retirement date, followed by a lower pension benefit. You can select the lower benefit percentage yourself, from amongst a number of fixed percentages. The lower pension must be at least 75% relative to the higher pension.

Fixed increasing or fixed decreasing variable benefit with SNPS
Do you choose to participate in the Collective Variable Pension (CVP) with SNPS (Shell Nederland Pensioenfonds Stichting)? In that case you will receive a fixed or a variable benefit as of your retirement date. You can then make a final choice between a fixed pension benefit with another pension administrator or opt for a consistent, increasing or a fixed decreasing benefit. 'Fixed' refers to the percentage with which your benefit increases or decreases. The benefit itself remains variable and will be determined 1 per year.

How can you arrange your pension?
From age 55 you can tell us your pension choices. Do this at least 6 months before your retirement date. Do you first want to see the consequences of your choices for your pension? You can calculate these with my-Flex planner on my-Shell pension. Log in easily and safely with your DigiD.
